24th APRU Annual Presidents' Meeting

June 21-23, 2020

The University of Auckland, New Zealand

Climate, Inequality and Well-being: Asia-Pacific in an Age of Disruption

Preliminary Program (updated on 10 March)

The program will provide unique opportunities to:

  • Engage with policy makers and thought leaders on the theme

  • Network among presidents

  • Review APRU’s work to increase value

  • Propose new activities for collective impact

  • Build a diverse and inclusive Asia-Pacific academic community

The current climate crisis is causing disruption around the Asia-Pacific region, especially in the South Pacific. The effects of this include a rise in inequality, which, in turn, significantly affects wellbeing.

APRU presidents will deliberate with experts, other leaders from academia and international public policy on ways research universities can respond to this global crisis.

Leading international and regional speakers will be announced shortly.
